Routine

Three habits. One season.

After every sail

Rinse with fresh water. Salt that dries on hardware accelerates corrosion at any temperature.

Start of season

Re-torque the A4 hex bolts. Hand-tight is fine, a quarter turn beyond contact is all you need.

End of season

Wipe with a damp cloth, dry, store indoors. UV exposure is unavoidable during use, but you can save the off-season.

When to replace

Honest signs that it's time.

Visible chalking or surface powdering, UV degradation.
Cradle no longer holds torque after re-tightening.
Bolt thread inserts spin freely in their pockets.
The TPU shock insert is compressed flat or torn.
