Install

Four bolts. Five minutes.

Every RailClamp ships with the bolts you need and a 4 mm hex key. If you can use Allen keys on an IKEA shelf, you can install this.

Install steps: open, seat, align, tighten

  1. 01

    Loosen

    Back off both A4 hex bolts with the included 4 mm key. Don't fully remove them, half a turn is enough.

  2. 02

    Seat

    Open the clamp around your existing stainless rail. The cradle profile is matched to your declared size.

  3. 03

    Align

    Bring both halves together. If you feel the mount can rotate freely, you've picked one size too large.

  4. 04

    Tighten

    Hand-tighten until the cradle no longer slides. Snug, not gorilla: the printed thread inserts handle 6–8 Nm comfortably.

Three common mistakes

  • Wrong size

    If the mount rotates after tightening, the cradle is too large. Order one size down.

  • Over-torqued

    If you can see the mount body deflecting visibly, back off a quarter turn. Hand-tight is enough.

  • Painted rail

    Paint adds 0.3–0.5 mm to diameter. Order one size up if your rail is painted.
